Catharus is a vocal ensemble led by Kenan Serenbetz that explores the American hymn tradition. The group sings original hymns that contemplate and celebrate the divine as it courses through the natural world.  Catharus creates rich harmonies rooted in centuries of sacred vocal music, from medieval polyphony to shape-note hymnody.

Tom Klein has played the uilleann pipes for decades. His enigmatic approach to Irish piping features the interplay of harmonic relationships -with some reinterpretation of the instrument itself- that embraces an array of musical traditions: from medieval chant to classical impressionism to international folk and beyond.
